A staple event since 1936, Alpine skiing will be returning to Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Races will be held February 7-12, 14-16, and 18, and will feature both technical, speed, and team combined events. The women will be competing at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre in Cortina d'Ampezzo, while men will compete at the Stelvio Ski Centre in Bormio.

This year, bobsledding will be held at the brand-new Cortina Sliding Centre, a fitting location as Cortina d’Ampezzo is historically significant to the sport. Events will include 2-man, 4-man, 2-women, and women’s monobob held from February 15-17 and 20-22, with additional training days before and in between.

Figure skating is not only one of the most popular Winter Olympic sports, but also the oldest. Watch some of the world’s most talented performers compete for a medal on February 6-11, 13, 15-17, and 19. The Milano Ice Skating Arena will be the temporary home for this beloved event, and will showcase men’s and women’s singles, pair skating, ice dance, and team events.

This thrilling sport combines style and adrenaline, making it a captivating event not to be missed. Similarly to snowboarding, it includes various categories such as moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air. Dual moguls will be making its Olympic debut this year at the Milano Cortino Games. These events will be located at the Livigno Snow Park and Livigno Aerial & Moguls Park on February 7, 9-12, and 14-21.

It’s an exciting year for Olympic ice hockey, as National Hockey League players will able to compete for the first time in 12 years. Both men’s and women’s games will be held at the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena and the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena from February 5-22, with medal games occurring on the 19, 21, and 22.

Watch as these daring athletes take on the ramp in one of the Winter Olympics most heart-racing events. Medals will be awarded February 7, 9-10, and 14-16, but additional trial rounds will be held to determine starting orders. This year will introduce the women’s large hill event as well as the men’s super team event, alongside the returning men’s large hill event and mixed team event. Competitions will occur at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium in the Val di Fiemme Region.

A fan favorite at any Winter Olympics, Milano Cortina 2026 will feature a wide variety of exciting snowboarding events, both individual and team based. The various competitions (including halfpipe, parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, big air, and slopestyle) will be held February 5, 7-9, 11-13, and 15-18 at the Livigno Snow Park in Livigno.

Another longstanding Winter Olympic sport, speed skating captures the audience’s attention with its lightening-speed competitors and close-call finishes. Housed at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium, the 14 different races range from 500m to 10,000m, and include mass start and team pursuit. Events will be held Feb 7-9, 11-15, 17, and 19-21.
