Introduction
Katy Salter is a food and travel journalist and content editor, based just outside of London, UK. She began her career as features editor for a leading food magazine, before moving into the worlds of food websites and freelance writing.
Experience
Katy is an experienced food and travel journalist, whose work has appeared in BBC Good Food, Conde Nast Traveller, Elle, Eurostar Magazine, Restaurant, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times and Sunday Times among many others. She has worked in-house for several UK food titles including Delicious and Waitrose Food. Her cookbook, Dairy-Free Delicious (Quadrille), was published in both the US and UK.
Her foodie adventures have taken her all over the world and include picking coffee in Costa Rica and tea in Kenya, learning how to make feta in the Greek mountains, sipping the best flat whites in Melbourne and foraging for razor clams in Brittany, France.
Education and volunteer work
Katy has a BA in American Studies from the University of Reading and has also lived and studied in the USA. In her spare time, she volunteers at a local school newspaper club, helping a group of children aged nine to 11 years old produce their own newspaper.
