Introduction

Keri Bloomfield is a New Zealand-born author and writer based in Denmark, specialising in cultural insight, integration and contemporary Scandinavian society. She is the author of Nothing Like a Dane, a widely recognised account of integrating into Danish culture.

Experience

She has more than 25 years’ experience working alongside various thought leaders and HR professionals, with a focus on people, communication and community-building.

In 2016 Keri moved to Denmark with her Danish partner and daughter, an experience that later shaped her writing.

Her work now focuses on cultural identity, integration and the contrasts between Danish and international perspectives, combining personal insight with her authentic approach to observational storytelling.

Published in 2022, her memoir Nothing Like a Dane has been described as “a book that has not been written before,” offering an unfiltered account of fitting into Danish society. The book has reached an international readership and was recommended by Lonely Planet, which called it “a witty and unvarnished take on life in Denmark”.
