Introduction

Mike Gerrard is an award-winning writer who covers travel and drinks. He divides his time between his homes in the Cambridgeshire Fens and the Arizona desert. He has contributed to newspapers, magazines and websites worldwide, and has written or contributed to over 40 guidebooks.

Experience

Mike was in his early 30s when he decided he wanted to be a travel writer, and sold his first travel piece, about the Greek island of Rhodes, to The Daily Telegraph. Since then he’s made his living from writing about travel and drinks, with a special interest in Greece and the USA, and has contributed to The Guardian, The Independent, The Times, The Washington Post, and many more.
