Introduction
Anja Mutić is a travel writer, editor and storyteller whose work explores the intersection of place, culture and personal transformation. Originally from Croatia and based between Europe and the United States, she has spent over two decades travelling the world, crafting immersive narratives that go beyond destination to capture the human spirit of travel.
She is the founder of Storyline Studio, a creative consultancy focused on storytelling, editorial strategy and brand narratives in travel and tourism.
Anja has lived, worked and travelled on every continent except Antarctica. She once got lost on assignment in the Bolivian Amazon. She dances tango, a love affair that has shadowed her since first visiting Buenos Aires back in 2002.
Experience
Anja’s work spans print, digital and experiential storytelling, with a focus on long-form narrative and cultural exploration. She has contributed to leading international publications including The Washington Post, Condé Nast Traveler, BBC Travel, Afar, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Travel + Leisure, among others.
Alongside her editorial work, she leads writing workshops, mentors emerging voices in travel writing and speaks at conferences and events worldwide.

Education
Anja has a BA in Comparative Literature and Philosophy from the University of Kent in Canterbury.

Her work has been recognised by the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), the North American Travel Journalists Association and the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Associations.
