Introduction

Isabella Noble is a bilingual British-Australian travel journalist who grew up in Málaga in southern Spain. Now based mostly in Barcelona, she specializes in Spain for a wide range of international media and is also a Lonely Planet guidebook author. 

Experience

Isabella has over a decade of experience in travel media and has contributed to publications such as The Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, i News, The Independent, Planeta and National Geographic Traveller, as well as Preferred Travel. After being raised in Andalucía, she has also lived in London, Melbourne and Toronto and spent time as a digital nomad. Alongside Spain, she often covers other destinations such as India and Canada. Isabella has written more than 50 Lonely Planet books, many of them as lead or solo author.

Lonely Planet: Books on Barcelona, Andalucía, the Canary Islands, Ibiza and Spain generally, as well as India and Canada guides and coffee table titles such as The Mediterranean, Gourmet Trails Europe and Best in Travel. 

Planeta: Spanish-language guidebooks to Cádiz, Lanzarote and El Hierro. 

The Telegraph: Spain general expert and hotel reviewer, Granada destination expert. 

Education 

Isabella has a First-Class Honours BA in English Language & Literature from King’s College London.

Awards

She has been shortlisted for the Spanish Tourist Board’s Sustainable Media Awards and was a judge for the 2024 Telegraph Hotel Awards.
